GHFA is devastated to hear of the recent passing of Peter Tindale. Peter was coach of the Association’s U16 AYL team and had been part of the coaching team since the inception of the AYL competition in 2015 and before that the GHFA Academy.
Peter was the consummate professional when coaching. His delivery of sessions and the time and energy he put into his teams was a role model to all his fellow coaches.
His understanding and development of the individual player made them better footballers and better young men.
His team went and played for him at the Bathurst competition and we know that Pete would have been supremely proud of them.
Peter was husband to Nicole and son in law to GHFA stalwarts Ross and Kay Iredale, and our deepest condolences are extended to the Tindale and Iredale families.
Family and friends of Peter are warmly invited to attend his Funeral Service to be held at Castlebrook Memorial Garden Chapel, 712 Windsor Road, Rouse Hill on Monday 4th March, 2019 commencing at 11.00am.
Please join the family to celebrate Peter’s life directly after the service at The Mean Fiddler Cnr Windsor Rd & Commercial Rd Rouse Hill.

We are so sad to report the passing of much loved All Saints Club President Paul Manton after a five month struggle with aggressive Melanoma.
Paul left us in the early hours of Monday morning, peacefully, pain free and with his beloved family at home.
His wife Lee describes Paul as,
“The ultimate family man, there was no better father, husband and to many people a loyal friend. He had three great loves – his family, friends & soccer. I thank God that he ran the All Saints Hunters Hill Soccer Club, it gave him so much pleasure.”
Paul’s history with All Saints spans over 30 years and started in 1985 when he founded Strathfield Uniting Church FC with friends and played in the Churches Association across Sydney. The name was changed to “Wanderers” when none of the players lived in Strathfield any more and the home field changed to Monash.
In 1998 Paul merged The Wanderers with North Side FC who played at Westminister field. “Enemies on the field, great friends off the field”, a mantra Paul lived to throughout his career. Next came a move to join GHFA and a merger with the Junior All Saints Church FC to facilitate this. And so our club, as we see it today, was formed – All Saints Hunters Hill FC ‘The friendly club’.
Paul was always captain or coach, or both, of the teams he played in, including 35/1 and 45/1. He won several Grand Finals along the way
He was Secretary for many seasons before becoming President and he was a Life Member of the club.
Beyond All Saints Paul was incredibly well known & respected around GHFA both at the Association and with clubs across the whole of our area.
Paul’s service will be 3pm Sunday 23 September, Newington College Chapel, Stanmore Road, Stanmore. Please wear a splash of orange for the service.
Paul left us too soon and will be sorely missed by many. May he rest in peace. Our thoughts, love and prayers go to his family; wife, Lee, three sons, Josh, William and Luca and his extended family.
